1. A signed articulation agreement listing specific courses articulated at each high school must be on file at COCC before high school students can register for the course. A blank articulation agreement is located in the Information section of the Master Notebook. Make additional copies as needed. Faculty must attend one meeting each academic year with COCC faculty to ensure the curriculum including all materials, training, testing and assessment are current for issuing college credit. A new agreement will be signed each academic year. If information on the articulation agreement changes during the year, a new agreement must be signed.
2. Each high school instructor will complete the Teacher Documentation form located in the Information section of the Master Notebook and submit unofficial copies of college transcripts. Mail the form and transcripts to the COCC College Now/Tech Prep Office. The COCC department chair will be responsible for reviewing the documentation. Teachers must be approved prior to teaching the class. You only need to submit this documentation once.
3. Each participating high school will receive a copy of the MASTER NOTEBOOK. The Master Notebook contains all forms and documents necessary for articulation.
a. Each high school counseling office will have a copy of the notebook.
b. Participating high school instructors will be provided a copy of the notebook.
c. The Master Notebook will be updated annually. In addition, throughout the year, revisions will be sent to each participating instructor and the counseling office. Each instructor is responsible for inserting and using the most current course revisions and articulation policies and procedures. All COCC materials will be dated; outdated materials should be destroyed.
d. Schools may make as many copies of the Master Notebook or parts of the notebook as they wish.

4. High school instructors are responsible for making a copy of the competency
checklist for each registered student.
5. High school students may earn college credit through the College Now/Tech Prep program
and have credits transcripted at Central Oregon Community College when they:
a. Complete and sign a registration form for each course.
b. Pay a $10.00 nonrefundable processing fee to COCC for each course.
c. Complete course requirements which may consist of a competency
checklist, portfolio, and/or a final exam and earn a grade of A, B, C or Pass.
d. X (Audit) may be transcripted but it doesn’t receive credit.

10. High school instructors will sign and verify all course competencies and recommend a grade for each student. Grading for each course is listed on the competency checklist.
11. COCC will send the high school instructor a final grade roster for the course approximately two weeks prior to the completion date each term
12. At completion of the course high school instructors or site coordinators will mail or deliver the following information to COCC:
a. Completed and signed competency checklist for each student.
b. Any additional documentation specified on the competency checklist, i.e. journals, final exams, projects, etc.
c. Completed and signed final grade roster.

13. COMPLETION DEADLINES
A student has one calendar year from the end of the term they registered to complete a course.
Completions must be received at COCC no later than:
ü Fall Term: Wed. Nov. 21, 2007
ü Winter Term: Fri. Mar. 7, 2008
ü Spring Term: Fri. May 30, 2008
NOTE: Late completions will be given a grade of IP (In Progress). Upon completion a grade will be transcripted for the term registered. Seniors must complete by Friday, May 30, 2008.
14. The COCC Articulation Coordinator will:
a. Send completed competencies to the COCC department for signature.
b. Send grade rosters to the Registrar’s Office for website posting and transcripting.
Students may access their grades at www.cocc.edu.
15. Instructions to view grades or print an “unofficial transcript.”
NOTE: End of term grades are available via the student’s online student account and will not be mailed. Grades are posted online at the end of each term approximately five days after Friday of finals week. The student may print an “unofficial” copy of their transcript online. However, an “official transcript” must be requested by the student via their secure online student account or in writing. The transcript processing fee must be paid before “official transcripts” are mailed. Click on FAQs or see the “Frequently Asked Questions” page behind the “Information” tab in the Master Notebook for instructions to request an “official transcript.”
The following information will help you view or print your grades online. Please follow the directions step by step. If after reading the directions you still need assistance, please contact the Student Helpline at 330-4358.
a. After opening your Internet program, go to COCC’s home page (www.cocc.edu).
b. Click on “My Login.”
c. Go to “Student & Staff Online Services.”
d. Click on “Login Now.”
e. COCC does not use social security numbers as student ID. To find your new student ID, click on the “Find your new COCC ID” link. You will need your social security number to find your new COCC ID.
f. Follow the directions on the “User Login” page. If you’ve accessed your account before, but have forgotten your PIN, enter your student ID number and click the “Forgot PIN” button. Follow the directions listed.
g. Click on “Student Services & Financial Aid.”
h. Click on “Student Records.”
i. Click on “Academic Transcript.”
j. Click on “Submit” to view your unofficial transcript.
k. Click the “Print” button on your toolbar to print your unofficial transcript.
